This website and booking system are run by Umbra Tinting, a window-tint installer in Newberg, Oregon. When this page says "we" or "us", that's who you're dealing with. If you have any question about your information, call or text (503) 389-3057 or email [email protected].

Only what you give us when you book or get in touch:

Your contact details — your name, phone number and email address, so we can confirm your booking and reach you about it.

Your vehicle and film choice — the year, make and model of your car, the windows you want done, and the film and shade you pick.

Whether you have a medical exemption — the booking form has an optional checkbox for "I have a doctor's or optometrist's note for darker tint." If you tick it, we record a simple yes, so we remember to check your note on the day. We do not collect the note itself, or any medical records, through this website — you show that document to us in person.

Anything you type in the notes box, and the date and time you choose.

We don't ask for your card number (see Payments), and we don't run advertising or tracking cookies. The only cookie the site sets is one that keeps our own staff signed in to the back office; it isn't set for customers.

To run your booking, and that's all:

to hold your slot and do your install; to send you your confirmation, reminders, a link to pay the booking fee, and any "running behind" or reschedule messages; to take the booking fee; to prepare the tint certificate Oregon requires you to keep in the car; and to answer you when you contact us.

We don't use your information to profile you or to advertise to you, and we don't send marketing emails.

The booking fee is handled by Square, our payment processor. When you pay, you enter your card on Square's own secure checkout page, and your card details go straight to Square. We never see or store your full card number — we only learn from Square that the fee was paid, refunded, or not completed.

We don't sell or rent your information, and we never share it for anyone else's advertising. We share it only with the services that make a booking work:

Square — to take the booking-fee payment.

Our email provider — to deliver your booking emails.

Google Calendar — we keep your appointment (your name, vehicle and time) on our own business calendar so we don't double-book.

Our website host and network provider — the companies that run and protect this site.

To list the shades that are legal for your car, the booking form looks your vehicle up against the U.S. government's public vehicle database (NHTSA). That lookup sends only the make, model and year — never your name or contact details.

We'll also share information if the law genuinely requires it.

We keep your booking and installation records for as long as we need them to run the business and to meet Oregon's tint-law and tax record-keeping — generally a few years. After that we delete them or strip out anything that identifies you.

You can ask us to show you the information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Call or text (503) 389-3057 or email [email protected] and we'll take care of it. We may need to keep certain records that the law requires us to keep.

Our services are for adults arranging work on their own vehicles. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

If we change how we handle your information, we'll update this page and the date below.
