Questions

I have a medical condition. Can I go darker?

Yes, on the side and rear windows (never the windshield), if you have an affidavit, prescription or signed letter from a physician or optometrist saying you or someone in your household needs it. Tick the medical box when you book, and bring the document on the day: Oregon requires it to stay in the car, and we need to see it before we fit anything darker than 35%.

MonoCarbon, Phantom S7 or Phantom II?

All three are Rayno films with no dyes, so none of them turns purple, and all three block over 99% of UV.

MonoCarbon is the good-value choice: a black nano carbon film that cuts glare and a good share of heat. Phantom S7 adds ceramic, so it rejects far more infrared heat at the same shade, and the cabin stays cooler without going darker. Phantom II F65 is Rayno’s second-generation ceramic, in Onyx Black, with antibacterial properties.

If you park in the sun or sit in summer traffic, go ceramic. Every film’s full numbers are under Films.

A bubble showed up after a few days. Is that normal?

A little haze, a few water spots or a small soft bubble in the first week is normal. It's moisture left between the film and the glass, and it dries out as the film cures. If a bubble is still there after two weeks, or one appears later, message us a photo and we'll sort it out.

How long does it take, and when can I use the windows?

Most sedans take two to three hours, and we only take one car a day, so we text you when yours is ready. Keep the windows up for three to five days afterwards so the edges seal properly, then use them normally. When you clean the inside of the glass, use a soft cloth and a cleaner without ammonia.

What does the warranty cover?

Our own work: if film we installed peels, lifts or bubbles because of the install, we put it right.

The film itself carries Rayno’s warranty: limited 5-year on MonoCarbon, and limited lifetime on Phantom S7 and Phantom II. Ask us and we’ll explain what it covers before the install.

Why is there a booking fee?

It holds your time. We take one car a day, so a booked day is one we keep for you. The fee comes straight off your total, and if you move your date, it moves with you. See cancellations and refunds below.

Can I cancel or get a refund?

If you cancel: the booking fee isn’t refundable, because it held your time. If something serious comes up, tell us; when the reason is fair, we refund it.

If you need a different day: move your booking and the fee moves with you.

If we cancel or move your booking: we refund your booking fee in full, or carry it over to your new date.

After we install your tint: the job isn’t refundable.

To cancel or move, call or text (503) 389-3057, or reply to your confirmation email.

Can I get Phantom II F95?

Yes, as a special order. We don’t keep it in stock, so call or text us first: we’ll price it and tell you when it can be here. If a special-order film arrives late, we email you straight away with a link to pick a new date, and your booking fee carries over.
